【研究学前班】how to查阅英文文献1/2

此篇为UO研究导论课程L1（3个短视频）的笔记，尤其适用于中外合办专业同学、研究生、留学生。

这用于速通，考虑到阅读难度、时长和质量的平衡，这里只记录了一些较为核心的内容。

1.1 use oulu e-library

  • Firstly , before use it , you must login. after logging , you cannot see the red clock and the resource are access to you .

  • second , you can sourch.

  • after , you can see your sourch results , look at these 3 label, which means a great situation.

  • finnally, click the blue links, and we can get the full pdf.

  1. e-books的更多信息在guideline website上面。

  2. evaluate the paper
    在下载之后进行evaluate。
    evaluate这里指的是，提取文章相关的信息，只需要提取以下信息：

  • structure（content）

  • 来源（which DB, author, 机构）

  • 类型（journal or review）
    example可看视频教程。

1.2 how to search

  1. search terms
    没听懂。但是不重要。

  2. search strings

  • truncation and wild cards

  • phrase research

  • operators
    包括and , or , not ,
    i.e 我们想搜集关于guava项目的软件进化的论文，但是guava不仅是个java项目，还可以代表一种水果：番石榴。在电子资源中，我们可以使用逻辑操作符：
    (guava AND software evolution) NOT fruit

  1. evaluation of the research results
    evaluate这里指的是，提取搜索结果相关的信息，只需要提取以下信息：

  • 搜索结果总数

  • 右上角有Rank和Rank rules可以选

  • 左边侧边栏可以选择不同的分类（关键词、期刊还是博士论文等）（和知网一样）

1.3 DB and tools

这里主要将了4个主流的外文文献库及其简要的使用方法，四个DB分别是：

  • scopus

  • web of science

  • EBSCO host

  • preQuest
    这四个库的相同点是左侧都和知网一样有侧边栏。
    不同点1是数据不一样，2是preQuest有两个独特的功能：peer review和choose DB（顾名思义）. peer review可以看到短评和详评（maybe综述）.
